Match Report: 5th Match vs. Nita Kisumu FC - Saturday, 24th

On Saturday, 24th, we played our fifth match of the season against Nita Kisumu FC at the Molasses Ground, located next to the airport.

Our captain, Lenny, opened the scoring with a stunning strike from the centre arc. 

The second goal came from our goalkeeper, Maxwell, who was given the opportunity to play in position 7. He capitalised on a cutback from our box-to-box midfielder, Felix, and was deservedly named Man of the Match.

The third goal resulted from a poor clearance by the opponent. Michael seized the opportunity, showcasing individual brilliance to place the ball into the back of the net.

Our fourth goal stemmed from a free-kick, which we believed should have been a penalty. The referee insisted the foul on Michael occurred outside the box. Our left-footed player, Brian Moen, took the free-kick and cleverly exploited the opponents' wall to score directly.

The final goal was initiated by a corner kick from captain Lenny on the far right. His well-delivered ball led to a misdirected header by the opponent. Bret capitalised on the rebound, unleashing a powerful shot from inside the box around the penalty area, demonstrating excellent technique and power.

The team was elated with the victory and big thanks to everyone's efforts, both on and off the field, we continue our winning streak this season.

Our next game is scheduled against Greenland FC at Sri Lanka Ground on the 31st of April.
